Bonnie Jeane Alexander, 86, of Pleasant Plains, passed away at 3:58 pm, on Saturday, June 2, 2018 at Regency. She was born on April 1, 1932 in Springfield to Henry and Bernice (Plummer) DeLay. She married Audie J. Alexander on October 6, 1951 in Cheyenne, Wyoming.
She is survived by her husband, Audie of Pleasant Plains; one daughter, Kathleen (Mason) Miller of Pleasant Plains, two grandchildren, Michael (Melissa) Alexander of Springfield and Melissa (Jonah) Thomas of Lincoln, four great-grandchildren: Austin, Kaylee, Collin and Kayla and one brother, Rodney (Darlene) DeLay of Kincaid.
Bonnie worked at Horace Mann, retiring after 31 years of service. She enjoyed cooking, especially baking pies, and loved traveling to Colorado and Wyoming. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. She was also a member of Peter Cartwright United Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents and one son, Gregory Alexander.
Visitation: 4 – 7 pm, Wednesday, June 6, 2018 at Staab Funeral Home-Springfield.
Funeral Service: 11 am, Thursday, June 7, 2018 at Staab Funeral Home-Springfield. Burial will follow at Pleasant Plains Cemetery.

Bonnie worked with me at Horace Mann all the years she was here, she was such a great lady and used to bring baked goods. She was missed after retirement but I know she enjoyed herself very much travelling.
