Bonnie J. Gray, 59, of Springfield, passed away on Friday, June 17, 2022 at Springfield Memorial Hospital. She was born July 19, 1962, in Springfield, the daughter of Raymond A. Gray, Sr. and Mary Bridgewater and they preceded her in death.
Survivors include her two daughters, Kara Metz of Springfield and Cady (Anthony) Lusich of Urbana; son, Brandon (Kerishena) Metz of Peoria; three grandchildren; two brothers, Bubba Bubba and Jason Gray, both of Springfield; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Bonnie was a resident of Springfield all her life. She was a clerical worker for the Secretary of State, retiring in 2015. She enjoyed Clydesdale horses and watching classic movies and all sorts of tv shows. Bonnie was a collector of Beanie Babies and loved to listen to her favorite band, Journey. Bonnie always enjoyed her shopping roadtrips with her family.
The family will host a gathering from 10:30 – 11:30 am, Wednesday, June 29, 2022 at Oak Ridge Chapel. Graveside will follow at 11:30 am, with John Richardson officiating.
Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.

I new Bonnie back in school. She was such a sweet friend. I would go for bike rides and every where with her. Wonderful memories.
