Billie J. Purves

Billie J. Purves, 87 of Springfield died at 3:40 am, Sunday, June 3, 2018 at Auburn Nursing and Rehabilitation. She was born October 1, 1930 in Rantoul, IL to Beula Bozarth Ruliffson and Lloyd A. Ruliffson. She married William R. “Bill” Purves on January 13, 1951.

Surviving are three sons, Tom (Linda) Purves of Porter, TX and Springfield, David (Cheryl) Purves of Springfield and Rob (Rebecca) Purves of Sikeston, Mo; six grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Bill and her parents.

Billie was a member of Third Presbyterian Church and worked at St. John’s Hospital for 30 years.

Burial will be in Oak Ridge Cemetery.
