SPRINGFIELD – Betty M. Waldrop, 66, of Springfield died at 1:13 a.m. Friday, April 16, 2010, at her residence.
She was born Nov. 18, 1943, in Athensville, the daughter of Harold Raymond and Lorean Waters Patterson; they preceded her in death. She married Dennis L. Waldrop Sr. of Springfield; he survives.
She is also survived by a daughter, Cynthia Bricker (companion, Christy Davis) of Springfield; seven sons, Ricky Lee Eberwein of Springfield, Darrell Eberwein and William Eberwein, both of Murphysboro, Tenn., J.R. Waldrop of Springfield, Lanny Waldrop of Murphysboro, Tenn., and Shane Mounce and Steve Boyce, both of Peoria; several grandchildren; a sister, Sharon (Jack) Osborne of Springfield; six brothers, Joe Patterson of Springfield, Paul (Wanita) Patterson of Virden, Gary (Cathy) Patterson of Kingston, Wash., Jim (Judy) Patterson and Mike (Sue) Patterson, both of Springfield, and Jerry (Delores) Patterson of Modesto; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Betty worked at the Georgian Restaurant for 24 years before beginning Spiffy 2 Janitorial Service with her husband. She enjoyed riding motorcycles, being outdoors and fishing.
Visitation will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. Monday, April 19, 2010, at Staab Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, April 20, 2010, at Staab Funeral Home, with Pastor Doug Bell officiating. Burial will be at Oak Hill Cemetery.
