Betty J. McHenry

SPRINGFIELD – Betty J. McHenry, 80, of Springfield died at 10:45 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 27, 2008, at Auburn Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.

She was born July 16, 1928, in Springfield, the daughter of William M. and Pearl E. Bedell Cassell.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother; and eight sisters.

She is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Patricia L. Guzouskis of Springfield and Linda P. (husband, Adrian) Price of Auburn; seven grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; six great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

She lived in Decatur for eight years and most of her life in Springfield. She worked as supervisor of the Telecommunications Department at Memorial Medical Center for 33 years, retiring in 1993.

Visitation will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 30, 2008, at Staab Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 31, 2008, at Staab Funeral Home, with the Rev. Joe Harrod officiating. Burial will be at Roselawn Memorial Park.
