SPRINGFIELD – Barbara A. Korza, 89, a lifelong resident of Springfield, died at 12:50 a.m. Friday, Dec. 18, 2009, at St. John’s Hospice.
She was born Dec. 4, 1920, in Nokomis, the daughter of Antone and Mary Rublick Stolsek. She married Frank Korza on Nov. 5, 1941; he preceded her in death April 5, 1996.
Also preceding her in death were her parents, three brothers and a sister.
Mrs. Korza was a taxpayer service representative for the Illinois Department of Revenue for 81/2 years. She was a member of Church of the Little Flower.
Surviving are two sons, Stanley F. (wife, Maureen) Korza of Springfield and Ronald A. (wife, Carolyn) Korza of Cantrall; three grandchildren, Kathleen, Kelly and Kasi Korza; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Visitation will be from 10 until time of services at 11 a.m. Monday, Dec. 21, 2009, at Staab Funeral Home, with Monsignor John Ossola officiating. Burial will be in Camp Butler National Cemetery.
