Anne E. Davidson, 77, of Springfield, passed away suddenly, quickly and peacefully into her Lord and Saviors arms on January 26, 2022 at Carlinville Rehabilitation and Health Care Center. She was born May 14, 1944 in Springfield.
Survivors include her sister, Jane (Dan) Seibert of Shelbyville; her brother, John Irving (Pamela) Davidson of Greenview; nieces and nephews: Laura Seibert, Anne (Rob) McFarland, Anna Davidson, John C. Davidson, Will Hess and Steve Hess; great-nephew, Finn McFarland and many beloved cousins.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Senator John A. “Doc” and Shirley Beard Davidson; and infant brother, John Homer Davidson.
Anne was a graduate of Springfield High School. She was a devoted member of Springfield First United Methodist Church.
She worked for the Governor’s Office of Citizen’s Affairs for twenty years and was an Aid to the Blind with the State of Illinois.
Her life was full, and she faced every challenge with courage. Anne loved her family, dancing, music, the Cardinals, Christmas, and her Sunday School class. She enjoyed traveling to Branson, MO and going to any live performance, no matter the genre. She loved to read and volunteered with SPARC.

Memorial Service: 11 am, Wednesday, February 2, 2022 at Staab Funeral Home – Springfield, with Rev. Dr. Roger Grimmett officiating. Private burial will follow at Oakland Cemetery in Petersburg.
Memorial contributions may be made to Springfield First United Methodist Church.

Anne will be very much missed by our Sunday School Class. She was an important part of it for such a long time. She shared her faith freely. I hope you are dancing in your red high heels Anne . My sincere condolences to all family. I know she loved you all so much.
