SPRINGFIELD – Anne C. Schwarz, 77, of Springfield died at 8:58 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 15, 2009, at her residence.
She was born Aug. 23, 1931, in Perry, the daughter of Robert and Corinne Dorsey Curfman. She married Dr. Edward Schwarz Sr. on Aug. 20, 1960; he preceded her in death on March 2, 1985.
She was also preceded in death by her parents.
She is survived by two sons, Edward (wife, Roberta) Schwarz Jr. of West Linn, Ore., and Eric (wife, Lisa) Schwarz of Germantown Hills; three grandsons, Solomon, A.J. and Cody; a granddaughter, Ryan; a brother, Roger (wife, Jodie) Curfman of Perry; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Anne was a resident of Springfield since the 1950s. She worked for St. Louis Brown’s Baseball Club, then at Sangamo Electric Co., and then for Ford Printing.
She was an avid doll and craft collector. She enjoyed the beauty of antiques. She was an avid St. Louis Cardinals fan, and she volunteered at Goodwill Industries.
Graveside services will be held at noon, Monday, Jan. 26, 2009, at Oak Ridge Cemetery.
