SPRINGFIELD – Ann Lutes, 88, of Springfield died at 12:45 am, Tuesday, November 30, 2010, at Heritage Manor. She was born April 8, 1922 in Livingston, Illinois to Matt and Rose Haller. She married Hugh Lutes in 1945 and he preceded her in death on January 27, 1993. Also preceding her in death were her parents and one son, Charles Lutes.
She is survived by one daughter Linda (Patrick) Boyle of Port Orange, FL; four grandsons, Gary (Peggy), Greg, Brent (Michele) Boyle and Kevin (Shelley) Lutes; 5 great grandchildren, Heather, Eric, Carlie, Haylee and Lily; 2 step great grandchildren; 2 step great-great grandchildren; two brothers Matt Haller of Carnegie, PA and Joe (Leta) Haller of Baltimore, MD and several nieces and nephews.
Ann attended Sacred Heart Parish. She enjoyed gardening, camping, traveling and cooking. She worked for H M Buckley & Sons as a grower for many years.
Visitation: 5-7 pm, Friday, December 3, 2010 at Staab Funeral Home.
Funeral: 11 am Saturday, December 4, 2010 at Staab Funeral Home with Reverend Stephen Thompson officiating. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to Sacred Heart Parish or to a Charity of the Donor’s Choice.
