Albert S. Cole, Jr., 70, of Springfield, died at 9:08 pm, Wednesday, December 13, 2017 at Memorial Medical Center. He was born December 11, 1947 in Springfield to Albert S. and Lucille Barker Cole, Sr. He married Anita M. Black on July 25, 1970 and she survives.
He is also survived by four children, James Cole, Albert S. (Sandra) Cole III, Jeff Cole and Bobby (Crystal) Cole, all of Springfield; six grandchildren, Kristen, Kilah, Hailey, J.J., Kianna and James; one great grandson, Isaiah; three sisters, Rose (Harry) Jackson of Athens, Alberta Stark of Chatham and Pearl Schuecking of Cantrall; best friends, Robert (Dorothy) Aldridge of St. Peters, MO and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Albert was a U.S. Army veteran. He loved bowling, slot machines and vacationing with family and friends. He was a salesman for 7 Up.
Visitation: 4 – 7 pm, Monday, December 18, 2017 at Staab Funeral Home – Springfield.
Funeral Service: 8:30 am, Tuesday, December 19, 2017 at Staab Funeral Home – Springfield with Pastor Brian Wilmarth officiating. Burial will follow at Camp Butler National Cemetery where military honors will be conducted.

I don't know you but am deeply saddened by your loss. What a wonderful man he must have been to help a woman in need. He is surely dancing on streets of gold with Jesus right now. You are in my thoughts and prayers.
