Alan “Al” J. Reichart, 66, of Cedar Crest, NM formerly of Springfield, IL died at his home in New Mexico on August 31, 2022. He was born October 19, 1955 in Springfield, IL to Bernard A. and Marilyn (Erickson) Reichart.
He is survived by nieces and nephews, Aaron Beck, Tara Dillon, Stewart Beck and Jonathan Beck; great nieces and nephews, Alivia Beck, Emelia Beck, Shaun Dillon, Payton Dillon, Nora Dillon, Cameryn Beck and Taylor Beck.
Al was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Vicki S. Beck.
He graduated from the University of Illinois with a Master’s degree in social work. He was an accomplished trombone player, performing all over the country and in Europe, most notably with the Springfield Municipal Band. He worked as a social worker for many years.
Graveside Service: 1 pm, Monday, October 3, 2022 at Woodwreath Cemetery with Willard “Bill” Swartzendruber officiating.
