Adlissa “Dickie” Schindler, 92, of Springfield, died at 3:50 pm, Friday, October 19, 2012 at her residence. She was born May 9, 1920 in Russellville, AR to Rev. Wm. David and Emma Boals Burris. She married William C. Schindler on July 26, 1945 in Hot Springs, AR. Her husband; parents; three brothers, Lohmann Burris, Rev Edwin Burris and Harold D. Burris and two sisters Elaine Davis and Kathrine Hickey all preceded her in death.
Survivors include one sister, Carolyn (Bobby) Barnes of Monticello, AR and her extended family Don and Martha Young; Tim Young; Nancy Blasko; Patty Greene; Steve Young all of Springfield area; several nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary Club. Dickie loved flower gardening and sewing. She was a clerk at Kay Jewelers and Edwards Jewelers for 20 years.
Visitation: 10:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m., Tuesday, October 23, 2012 at Staab Funeral Home.
Funeral Service: 12:00 p.m., Tuesday, October 23, 2012 at Staab Funeral Home with Rev. Dr. John Hamilton officiating. Burial will be in Oak Ridge Cemetery.
