SPRINGFIELD – Ada E. Clark, 79, of Springfield, died at 12:34 am, Tuesday, June 10, 2014 at Memorial Medical Center. She was born September 17, 1934 in Berlin, IL, to John and Ruby Davenport Ruble. She married Robert E. “Bob” Clark on May 26, 1956 and he survives.
Also surviving are one daughter, Rhonda (Patrick) O’Brien of Springfield; four sons, Robert E. Clark, Jr. of Pawnee, Scott (Kim) Clark of Springfield, Todd (Toni) Clark of Chatham and Mike Clark of Springfield; nine grandchildren, Lisa Brobeck, Cristin (Mike) Goldsberry, Nichole (Ryan) Strebing, Courtney Upperman, Baleigh Clark, Brandon Clark, Chad Clark, Michael Upperman and Nicholas Clark; four great grandchildren, Taylor, Caleb, Chase and Parker; two sisters, Julie Chastain of Springfield and Cindy (Rich) Dobey of Greenview; one brother, Robert Ruble of Springfield; several nieces, nephews and cousins and her beloved dog, Henry.
Her parents preceded her in death.
Ada was of the Catholic faith. She was a 1953 graduate of New Berlin High School. She enjoyed reading and spending time with her kids, grandkids and great grandkids. She retired from Doctor’s Hospital in 1997.
Visitation: 4-7 pm, Thursday, June 12, 2014 at Staab Funeral Home with a prayer service at 4 pm.
Funeral Mass: 10:30 am, Friday, June 13, 2014 at St. Cabrini Church with Revered Joseph Ring officiating. Burial will follow at Camp Butler National Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
