Joe Robert Flynn, 80 of Springfield, died at 6:15 am, Thursday, March 9, 2017 at St. Joseph’s Home. He was born August 1, 1936 to Fred and Nettie Burnett Flynn. He married Patricia Martinkus on February 19, 1954 and she survives.
Also surviving are two daughters, Patti Jo (Terry) Quarton of Springfield and Jacky (Mike) Bober of Clayton, NC; three grandchildren, Andrea Runkel and Collin and David Bober; two great grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister.
Joe was a member of Church of the Little Flower.
He was a carpenter for 60 years working for Union 270 and retired from St. John’s Hospital.
Visitation: 10 – 11 am, Monday, March 13, 2017, at Staab Funeral Home – Springfield.
Funeral Service: 11 am, Monday, March 13, 2017, at Staab Funeral Home – Springfield with Reverend Allen Kemme officiating. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, Memorial contributions may be made to St. Joseph’s Home.
