Carolyn Masterson, 76, of Springfield, died at 1:00 pm, Thursday, April 28, 2016 at St. John’s Hospice. She was born December 25, 1939 in West Salem, IL to George W. and LaVange Wessner Inyart. She married Charles R. Masterson on September 11, 1970 and he survives.
Also surviving are her twin sister, Marilyn (James) Stirrett of Old Hickory, TN and one brother, Richard (Donna) Inyart of Forsyth, IL; two step-daughters, Barbara (Bill) England and Susan Masterson; four step-grandchildren, Elizabeth (Courtney) Griffith, Brian (Tiffany) England, William England and Rebecca England, three step-great great grandchildren, Sage and Mason England and Kamden Griffith and two nieces, Jamie (Scott) Nagy and Lori (Glen) Canania.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Carolyn worked as a bookkeeper for over fifty years. She enjoyed quilting, sewing, cooking and working in her flower garden.
To honor Carolyn’s wishes there will be no memorial services held.
Private burial will be at Camp Butler National Cemetery at a later date.

I am sad to hear that my Cousin Carolyn is not with us anymore. I remember having a real fun day back in our childhood down at our Aunt Elsie's house with Carolyn & Marilyn and myself playing in the back room with the swinging white picket gate!
