Death away from home
We are never truly prepared for the death of a loved one. You may find that even when you are expecting death in the near future, you may not be prepared for the feelings of grief that can accompany it. When a death occurs away from home, it may feel even more traumatic.
In addition to coping with your feelings of loss, a death away from home introduces an additional level of stress. The mere logistics of planning to bring your loved one back home can be overwhelming, and if you are traveling without the immediate support of others, the mountain may seem too high to climb. There may be a lot of paperwork ahead, and a lot of delays. When a death occurs away from home, it is important to know that we can help you through every step.
Call Staab no matter how far away, and we can intervene. Through associations, we have relationships with providers in other areas so we can take care of all of the legal documents and the necessary transportation issues in returning your loved one home. The logistics in another state or foreign country can be daunting. You do not have to do it alone. We work with transportation specialists in our profession that can intervene and speed the process along and find alternate routes if there is inclement weather. That is part of our role as your funeral director.
